Our client is an established Indo-Pacific aviation services provider delivering non-scheduled (VIP, Government, and Defence) aviation support across the region. This is a pivotal, hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives in dynamic, operational environments and wants to make a genuine impact in one of the region’s most strategic aviation locations. About the Role Reporting to the Operations HQ in Sydney, the Country Manager – PNG will: Oversee all ground handling and trip coordination for ad‑hoc and VIP flights. Work closely with ADF, Government, and Military clients to deliver flawless operational execution. Coordinate with Air Niugini , the Airports Corporation (NAC) , and other service partners. Manage aircraft marshalling, CIQ facilitation, ground services, and diversion response. Build and nurture key vendor relationships and strengthen local footprint. Identify and recruit local talent as operations expand. What Success Looks Like Seamless, on‑time support of all missions and movements. Strong partnerships with ADF, NAC, and Air Niugini. Continuous improvement in local readiness, efficiency, and service standards. Establishment of trusted relationships with clients and suppliers. About You You are an aviation operations professional who: Brings 5+ years’ experience in ramp, flight ops, or ground handling leadership. Can juggle complex operations, manage multiple stakeholders, and stay composed under pressure. Is a self‑starter who takes ownership and thrives with autonomy. Builds strong, respectful relationships across cultures and organisations. Has prior exposure to developing or remote regions (Pacific experience advantageous).
