Senior Contracts Specialist

A pivotal role, there is clear scope for you to make a real impact as a Senior Contracts Specialist in this prominent mining services contractor, supporting multiple operational projects from their Perth-based office, with occasional site travel. Day‑to‑day matters will span a mixture of drafting, documentation, stakeholder coordination and commercial problem‑solving across several concurrent projects. Core functions of the role include: Preparing and issuing contract correspondence, notices and documentation Developing and coordinating variations, claims and contract changes Liaising with project, estimating, finance and operational teams Monitoring contractual issues, obligations and performance requirements Maintaining accurate records, registers and commercial files Assisting with contract close‑out and ongoing process improvement work About you You are an experienced contracts specialist with a background in mining, resources, construction or similar project‑driven environments. You bring strong drafting capability, clear written communication, disciplined record‑keeping and confidence interpreting contract clauses across complex operational settings. You are comfortable working autonomously while coordinating inputs from various teams, and able to manage matters across several projects simultaneously. A tertiary qualification in Law, Business Law, Construction or a related field is required, along with full Australian working rights. Nice‑to‑have Underground mining or contract mining services Variations, claims or dispute‑related workflows Exposure to multiple contract models used in project delivery Salary package circa $190,000 + superannuation, commensurate with experience and capability.
