Role Overview We are seeking a highly organised detail-oriented and proactive Assessments Team Leader to join our team on a 12 month this role you will report to the Head of Credit and lead a team of three providing administrative and operational guidance to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our lending services. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of accuracy efficiency and client satisfaction by supporting team performance optimising workflows and ensuring timely completion of assessment activities. Your leadership will directly contribute to a positive client experience and the overall success of our lending operations. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Performance & Operational Support Lead and manage a team of three to ensure SLAs are consistently met. Provide up-to-date training coaching and day-to-day support to build capability and maintain high-quality assessment outcomes. Oversee accurate and timely reporting across assessment activities. Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams enquiries. Support the team during peak periods and when staff are on leave. Credit Policy & Operational Oversight Work collaboratively with the Head of Credit to : Implement new credit policies and product offerings; Conduct regular reviews of existing credit policies and products; Complete monthly internal audits on manually assessed loans. Systems & Technology Collaboration Partner with the internal IT team to : Support the development and enhancement of the new in-house assessments program. Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise. Ensure systems integrate effectively and meet the needs of relevant teams. Skills & Experience Previous experience in both Consumer and Commercial lending banking or a related financial services environment. Solid knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements. Proven experience leading and supporting a team. Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office and a good understanding of lending systems and workflows. Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly with a proactive approach to adopting new technology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
