About the Role We are looking for an experienced cleaner who is flexible and prepared to cover different shifts to relieve staff on leave and cover during busy periods. Provide cleaning services and waste removal according to the policies and procedures of the Hospital and the Environmental Services Department. Liaise with staff and customers (nurses, patients, visitors) concerning the service provisions. About You Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare setting. Understanding of infection control principles. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts. Ability to support the needs of the housekeeping department working independently or as a member of a team. About The Mater In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital North Sydney. One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals. Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards and Crows Nest and buses on Pacific Highway. The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres. Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics (hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries), cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery and neurosurgery.
