Employment Details Employment Type: Part Time Position Classification: Visiting Medical Officer / Staff Specialist Remuneration: As per award Hours Per Week: 12 Requisition ID: REQ Applications Close: Friday 19 December 2025 What You'll Be Doing Report operationally to the Director of Integrated Care and professionally to the District Director MNCLHD HITH. Provide expert medical management, including admitting, consulting, diagnostics, procedural, outpatient, virtually‑enabled care and on‑call services for MNCLHD HITH. Play a key role in medical governance, strategic and operational planning, and advancing innovative models of care via face‑to‑face and virtual modalities. Required Qualifications and Experience Registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia; Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), Fellowship of the Australian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent. Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership in a relevant area of practice within a complex public health organisation, including managing teams, adapting practice based on contemporary evidence, and leading workforce development aligned with MNCLHD HITH priorities. Demonstrated ability to provide advanced medical care across both inpatient and ambulatory settings, ensuring safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care. Proven capability to develop, implement and evaluate complex strategic initiatives, including service redesign, change management, innovation and performance improvement. Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective collaborative relationships, engage stakeholders, and influence across professional and organisational boundaries. Experience in clinical governance, quality and compliance processes, including leading or contributing to audits, incident reviews, research, service redesign and continuous quality improvement. Understanding of medical training accreditation processes, experience in delivering interprofessional education, supervision and development of medical training pathways. Current NSW Driver's Licence and ability to travel as required. Additional Information All new employees must comply with Occupational assessment screening and vaccination requirements.
