Locum Sonographer

Location – Tennant Creek, NT Job Ref: Hourly pay rate – up to $110 per hour plus super, dependent on your skills and your experience. Date and Duration: Beginning of Jan 2026 for 3 weeks. Job Summary Step into a meaningful Locum Sonographer role in Tennant Creek, where your expertise directly supports a predominantly Indigenous community. Enjoy a balanced general and obstetric caseload, modern equipment, and the autonomy to manage your own list—while making a genuine difference every day. Skills and experience Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Sonographer in a hospital setting. Strong competency across general and obstetric ultrasound, with the ability to manage a 50/50 case mix (general and obstetrics). Ability to work autonomously, including managing your own patient list and prioritising urgent ED cases. Experience working with or the ability to quickly adapt to Toshiba Aplio 500 ultrasound machines and Synapse RIS. Confidence working without a radiologist on site, ensuring safe, accurate scanning and adherence to site protocols and procedures.
