Wellness, Health and Safety Advisor Location: Sydney, Australia. Hybrid work: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Navitas is a leading global education provider employing 5,000 staff. As part of our Group HR/WHS team you will support wellness, health, and safety across our colleges, campuses, and offices. Job Description Work closely with operational leaders and the global WHS team to support a safe and healthy work environment for employees, students, contractors and visitors. Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor workplace health, safety and wellness programs in compliance with regulations and best practices. Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards and recommend risk mitigation. Support development of frameworks, policies and procedures for staff and student groups across Navitas's global footprint. Prepare leadership and board reports. Lead global wellbeing initiatives such as annual exercise challenges and wellbeing surveys. Provide training and education on health, safety and wellness topics, promoting a culture of safety awareness. Maintain accurate records on Donesafe and SOLV platforms and prepare reports on health and safety metrics. Stay updated on legislative, regulatory and industry standard changes to ensure continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health or a related discipline. Strong understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and best practices (e.g., OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001). Experience in injury and claims management and return-to-work programs. Experience implementing wellness, health and safety programmes. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data analysis and report writing. Knowledge of ergonomics and risk assessment. Proficiency with relevant software (safety management systems, incident reporting tools). Benefits Meaningful work and impact on students and communities.
