Senior Accountant (6-months Contract) ESR Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Senior Finance Manager/Finance Manager with ad‑hoc tasks related to month‑end and year‑end financial accounting, management accounting and tax compliance for Stabilised and Development Funds, creating capacity within the team. Key Responsibilities Month‑end reporting tasks Prepare monthly management reporting for the Stabilised and Development Funds and related entities Generate financial statements, including budget analysis, investment property summaries, aging reports, etc. Review fund‑level P&L and provide variance commentary Apply IFRS, AASB16, loan drawdown and other trust‑level journals (where relevant) Reconcile Balance Sheet items, including prepayments, accruals, etc. Tax compliance Preparation of BAS Preparation of annual income tax returns and associated calculations as required Preparation of distribution tax calculations as required Validate payment checks against bank, Yardi and invoices Prepare quarterly/half‑yearly loan covenant calculations as required and liaise with Treasury and Funds Team to ensure accuracy and timely submission Provide assistance to other team members during busy workload periods and other ad‑hoc tasks when required (e.g., funds finance projects rollouts) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Chartered Accountant/CPA qualified Essential Requirements Adaptable, strong organisational and multitasking abilities Excellent communication, problem‑solving and documentation skills Professional, results‑driven, strong work ethic with high integrity Intermediate or above proficiency in Microsoft Excel Desirable Requirements Experience with Yardi Voyager Big 4/Chartered experience Property industry experience Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Accounting / Auditing and Finance #J-18808-Ljbffr
