The Senior Clinical Educator – Psychology contributes to planning, implementing and evaluating a strategic education program for psychologists across the RCH campus. The educator delivers education relating to evidence‑based psychological practice across the campus, educates stakeholders about evidence‑based care for children and young people, and provides programmes for provisional psychologists, registrars and senior staff. The focus of this role is the registrar programme, supporting six registrar positions (Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology). Classification: Grade 4 Year 1‑Year 5 PM1‑PM5 (annual base salary $120,884.4 – $145,402.4 pro‑rata + super + salary packaging). What You Will Achieve Develop a comprehensive intern programme Develop a comprehensive registrar programme Identify the learning needs of more experienced psychologists at RCH Develop, implement and evaluate engaging educational packages to address those learning needs Focus on the registrar programme and support the team across other areas of work Your Skills And Experience An accredited Master or Doctoral qualification in clinical psychology (preferred) or clinical neuropsychology, recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia (Note – a Master of Professional Psychology does not meet this criterion) General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia Area of Practice Endorsement with the Board in clinical psychology (preferred) or clinical neuropsychology Board‑approved supervisor status, including approval as a ‘Registrar Program Principal Supervisor’ Minimum of eight years post‑qualification experience as a psychologist Experience providing education and teaching to psychologists in a hospital or tertiary education setting Experience providing clinical supervision to staff and post‑graduate students completing clinical placements About The Department The Psychology Department provides clinical services, governance and educational leadership to psychologists across all RCH teams and specialities. It serves children and young people aged 0‑18 years and their families via the Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology Teams. The department’s Education Team coordinates psychology education, including clinical supervision and registrar training.
