The Role As an Associate, Credit Risk Operations, you will conduct credit risk reviews of Airwallex’s clients within a collaborative team environment, working with merchants, business development, transaction risk analysts, compliance, and legal to support growth while mitigating risk. Responsibilities Assess merchant credibility in onboarding and monitoring workflows by verifying and analyzing business information and financial statements. Provide tailored credit risk recommendations that mitigate exposure while facilitating partner growth. Prioritize and process incoming applications to verify accuracy and integrity, ensuring compliance with policy and timely registration. Deliver insights to support business decisions ranging from onboarding strategies to pricing analysis and product launches. Lead process improvements to help the team meet KPIs and SLAs. Provide feedback on data, tools, and vendors for continuous ops efficiency improvements and policy enhancements. Qualifications 5 years of relevant experience in commercial credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, and cash flow forecasting. Knowledge of merchant acquiring services and the payment processing industry. Effective communication skills and attention to detail. Team player with strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Highly curious, proactive self‑starter with a sense of urgency and bias for action in a fast‑paced environment. Comfortable with complex data and analytics; SQL required.
