About the Role Join our Mareeba team, where exceptional customer service is at the heart of everything we do. In this role you’ll help service general hardware and heavy building materials, providing expert advice and ensuring our customers receive real value with every interaction. We’re seeking team members that are enthusiastic and proactive, committed to making products easily accessible with a genuine care for our customers. You’ll benefit from continuous training, opportunities to work across different store areas, and a culture focused on growth and learning. This position is ideal for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to both personal and team success. As we are a seven‑day trading store this role may also require weekend work on a rostered basis. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service and add value to every customer interaction Assist customers with trade supplies and general hardware sales, using strong product knowledge to offer accurate advice and solutions Undertake regular product training with leading brands to stay up to date on materials and products Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a positive, safe and productive work environment Contribute to a fast‑paced learning environment, embracing opportunities for growth and development Ensure products are stored and presented in an accessible, safe and organised manner for customers Qualifications & Skills Genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service and adding value to every customer interaction Physically fit, with the ability to safely lift and manually handle heavy goods as part of daily tasks Strong product knowledge or willingness to learn about building materials, hardware, and trade supplies High awareness of site safety, with a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for team members and visitors Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace culture Responsible approach to duty of care, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company policies Perks Ongoing training with plenty of opportunities for people with the right attitude Uniform provided, so you can look the part Staff and fuel discount schemes offered EAP – Employee Assistance Program Please Note We are an equal opportunity employer with a zero tolerance to drugs and alcohol in the workplace and conduct regular random workplace testing.
