At dnata catering & retail the sky's truly the limit CASUAL CHEF - ADELAIDE AIRPORT What does a typical day look like? You will be working in a busy, open plan kitchen preparing & cooking various international hot & cold meals in commercial quantities. Restaurant quality meals across Economy, Business and First class for our customer airlines flying into and out of Adelaide. In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are: Preparing hot & cold meals for passengers for International and Domestic airlines. Portioning, bulk mis-en-place, stock control & minimizing wastage. Cleaning & maintaining a hygienic work environment at all times. Strictly following menu specifications as well as Food Safety / HACCP, QA & HSE. What do you need to be successful in securing this role? Min Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher qualifications is required Ideally 3 to 4 years industry experience, high end restaurant or large catering venue Flexible to cover a variety of shifts across both AM/PM shifts. Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster including weekends if required. Passion & drive to deliver high quality food to our customers. Must have confidence in cooking, use of ingredients and kitchen equipment Multi-tasker and can work unsupervised for periods at a time Good written & verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail. Good organizational & time management skills, able to meet deadlines. Must be self-motivated, hardworking & have a good attitude. Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen. As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check. What’s in it for you?
