Food Services Assistant

Join to apply for the Food Services Assistant role at Arcare Aged Care This is a permanent part‑time role (Monday to Wednesday, 3:30pm – 7:30pm) based at Helensvale. The role involves supporting the well‑being of residents by preparing and serving meals, maintaining the dining environment, and assisting with kitchen duties. Salary Range Minimum $27.10 – $29.39 per hour Key Responsibilities Meal preparation: assist with chopping, assembling salads, portioning, and preparing simple dishes under the supervision of the Cook or Head Chef. Serving meals to residents during mealtimes, ensuring each resident receives the appropriate meal according to their dietary requirements. Set up dining areas before mealtimes, ensuring tables are clean and all necessary items (cutlery, plates, glasses) are in place. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and diningCaptured area, and help clean kitchen surfaces and storage areas. Interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during mealtimes, addressing their needs and requests as appropriate. Skills & Experience Food Handlers Certificate.
