Communication Officer – Government Client Contract period: 25/12/2025 – 18/08/2026 The current contractor has delivered exceptional value, producing high-quality written communication materials including correspondence, flyers, social media posts, and website updates while also engaging with stakeholders on low‑risk matters and managing incoming calls through the 1800 phone line. Continuing this level of support is essential to maintaining team efficiency and ensuring senior staff can focus on more complex and urgent priorities. This role plays a vital part in meeting the organisation’s communication and stakeholder engagement commitments under the 2022–23 to 2025–26 infrastructure programme. Key responsibilities include: Providing stakeholder engagement support for low‑risk projects Developing project webpages, updates and analytics reports Creating and updating content on internal platforms Preparing project flyers and managing their distribution Drafting communication responses for low‑level stakeholder issues Managing the correspondence tracker Sourcing stakeholder contact details and lot information, and entering data into spreadsheets and Consultation Manager Assisting with or attending stakeholder meetings alongside Program Engagement Officers If you’re an organised communicator with strong writing skills and an interest in supporting meaningful public projects, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful work across the district.
