Medical Imaging Technologist - Medical Imaging Support for career progression and development A strong attitude to teaching and learning Excellent clinical exposure across a range of specialties The Position Job Reference: 3320 Position Title: Medical Imaging Technologist Classification: Grade 2 (AG1-CW5) Salary per hour (exc. super): $45.67 - $52.49 Hours per fortnight: 48 hours Employment Status: Ongoing Part Time The Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) performs radiographic examinations and associated duties in accordance with standard radiographic practice, department policies and procedures. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, they will perform examinations to a consistently high standard using a patient focused approach. They will be a mentor to under graduate students and to other imaging staff, and will work in modalities aligned to their expertise, skills and training. The Medical Imaging Team The Medical Imaging team performs a full range of diagnostic Imaging examinations to a consistently high standard using a patient focused approach. The team complete around 110,000 examinations per year to inpatients of the Bendigo Hospital and to outpatients referred from Bendigo Health clinics and local GPs and specialists. The department is staffed by radiologists, medical imaging technologists, nurses and administration staff. Medical Imaging services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for urgent cases. Imaging services provided include:- General radiography (x-ray) Fluoroscopy Mammography DEXA MRI CT Digital Subtraction Angiography Intra-operative and interventional work Mobile x-ray and fluoroscopy Bendigo is one of Victoria’s largest regional cities making it a great city to live and work in.
