To learn more about Master Builders Solutions, please visit our website: The Role As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform both routine and non routine testing of raw materials and finished goods covering our concrete admixture and cementitious product ranges. Testing may be for quality control or product development purposes. This will include straightforward analytical methods, and the preparation of mortars, grouts or concretes and subsequent testing of plastic and hardened properties. Key activities and responsibilities will include but is not limited to: Performing laboratory trials, and testing raw materials and products in accordance with AS 1478, AS 1012 and other relevant standards and methods Following inspection and test plans Preparation of equipment, materials and samples Operation, maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment Ensuring the accuracy of test results with timely completion of allocated tasks Accurately completing laboratory records and reporting on results Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping Participating in reviews and initiatives to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of laboratory processes and services Contributing to safety culture by proactively applying WHS principles to the planning, execution, and conclusion of all activities About you: Entry level applicants are invited to apply, however the following is preferred: A Degree in a relevant scientific field, Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques / Diploma of Laboratory Technology, or minimum High School Certificate with experience in testing materials within this industry or similar transferrable knowledge. Minimum 3 years in mortar, grout or concrete testing, or similar industry experience. Self motivated, able to work autonomously and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and capable of understanding and following test methods and other instructions Strong written and verbal communication skills Sound computing skills Physically fit and capable of undertaking concrete and mortar testing activities Strong commitment to safety, quality and working collaboratively Willingness to take ownership, learn, and manage your responsibilities Full range of training and upskilling to ensure you are set up for success.
