Dental Assistant

The Dental Centre, a leading dental practice in Coffs Harbour, NSW, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team. This full‑time role is crucial in supporting our dentists and ensuring a seamless patient experience. What you’ll be doing Assisting dentists during procedures by passing instruments, handling materials, and maintaining a sterile environment Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for each patient Providing exceptional patient care by greeting patients, managing their records, and addressing any questions or concerns Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling billing Adhering to all health, safety, and infection control protocols What we’re looking for Prior experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred but not essential – we are open to training the right person Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient care Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Proficient in using D4W software and office equipment, or willing and eager to learn Commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Relevant qualifications or certifications in dental assisting, preferred but not essential Certificate III/IV in Dental Assisting can be obtained after employment commences About us The Dental Centre is a well‑established dental practice in Coffs Harbour, NSW, with a reputation for delivering high‑quality, personalised dental care.
