Company: Bank of China (4th largest bank in terms of assets internationally) Position: Risk Manager (Credit Risk) Team: Credit Risk Team Department: Risk Management Location: Sydney CBD Term: This is a Two Year Maximum Term Contract, with the possibility of becoming an on-going role after contract period has ended. Closing Date For Applications: 7/1/2026 This role is not open to agencies Primary responsible for managing the credit risk of the lending portfolio. This includes assessing portfolio performance and trends, credit risk modelling management, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. The position is to support the strategic direction of RMD based on Bank’s overall risk appetite and strategy. Overall Responsibilities Responsible for reviewing and maintaining credit risk related policy and procedure in accordance with HO and local regulatory requirement. Monitor and analyse the credit performance of the corporate lending portfolio. Responsible for the measurement, analysis, report and forecast of expected credit loss. Responsible for leading the enterprise-wide stress testing exercise. Conduct credit risk and climate change stress testing to evaluate and report the impact of different economic scenarios on the corporate lending portfolio. Participate in the review, validation and uplift of retail lending ECL model. Conduct the model performance monitoring and evaluation. Prepare and submit regular and ad hoc credit risk related APRA return, management and HO report. Participate into risk intelligence and report automation project. Other and ad hoc tasks. Direct Reports None. Main Contacts Line management of all Business Units, General Management, H.O. External Contacts External Auditors, Regulatory Authorities, Consultants. Required Skills/Experience At least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably banking or professional services. Professional qualification such as CFA, FRM or similar credentials. Good knowledge in credit risk management and understanding of relevant regulatory requirements. Proven success in designing, validating and implementing model using R. Experience working with large data sets and using analytical tools. Excellent verbal and written language ability in both English and Mandarin. Independent, capable to manage evolving risks and able to influence stakeholders for better practices.
