Where you'll be working Ryde Hospital – GR4 Rehabilitation Unit Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community. The redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more. Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely. What You'll Be Doing The Assistant in Nursing plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, person‑centred nursing and rehabilitation care within an acute care environment. Working under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, the role assists patients with daily functioning, mobility, and recovery activities while ensuring clinical tasks, documentation and equipment preparation are completed to support effective rehabilitation outcomes. Through consistent adherence to NSW Health and NSLHD policies, the incumbent contributes to a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes patient independence, dignity, and optimal recovery. Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate; or current enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) with evidence of completion of Block 1; or completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care). Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with all stakeholders, with the ability to clearly document and convey clinical information.
