Overview As a Cook, you will prepare, cook, and present menu items to a high standard while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen. Roles & Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items consistently and to venue standards. Monitor ingredient quality and freshness; follow correct storage and rotation procedures. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, and prep equipment. Maintain portion control, plating presentation, and service speed during peak periods. Support menu preparation, daily specials, and ingredient estimation as required. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, cleaning schedules, and workplace standards. Assist with training and guidance of junior kitchen staff where required. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Cook in a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time during busy service. Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude. Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and peak periods as needed.
