Network Design and Integration Deliver transport priorities through the planning, development and maintenance of an integrated pipeline of projects and strategic initiatives that provide safe, efficient and sustainable outcomes to all Victorians. About The Role Fixed Term Until 30 June 2027. The Road Safety Partnerships Lead works with local government, non‑government organisations, the DTP, state government and the community to activate and support their participation in road safety matters. This role is responsible for building effective relationships with key stakeholders across government and non‑government sectors, overseeing, coordinating initiatives, programmes and projects, and ensuring processes for management, monitoring and assessment are in place. The Lead will facilitate community input on policy challenges and opportunities, feeding intelligence to inform future work. Position Outcomes / Accountabilities Understanding of Road Safety Issues – has developed a clear picture of road safety perspectives, opportunities and issues within the communities for which the role is responsible. Stakeholder Management – has built strong and trusted relationships with external stakeholders including councils, road safety groups, police and NGOs, and connects relevant internal subject matter experts. Effective Programme and Project Management – provides effective project management to coordinate the delivery and operations of assigned programmes, projects and initiatives. Strong Networks and Customer Service – has built trusting relationships with internal stakeholders within the Department of Transport and other parts of government, and is responsive to stakeholder needs and supports timely resolution of queries or concerns. Key Selection Criteria The DTP seeks a collaborative professional who can build strong partnerships, lead co‑creation processes and manage diverse stakeholder needs to achieve shared outcomes. Success relies on coordinating project delivery, guiding teams, applying critical thinking to solve complex problems while influencing decisions and securing support for key initiatives, and understanding organisational and political contexts. Qualifications And Experience Mandatory Community development and stakeholder engagement experience. Desirable Experience working with local government. Experience in delivery of community programmes and projects. Experience facilitating groups including design of group facilitation activities.
