This is a hands‑on technical leadership role where you’ll help design, build, and operationalise an enterprise‑grade AI Workbench platform that will empower data scientists and analysts to experiment, deploy, and scale ML models and generative AI use cases. About the Project You’ll be joining a new initiative to create an AI Workbench platform that unifies data science and ML development across the organisation. The platform will: Enable rapid experimentation with ML models and LLM prompts Streamline and standardise tooling for AI/ML workflows Provide secure, governed, and scalable access to data and compute Lay the foundation for enterprise‑scale AI production capabilities Built on AWS using services like SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, RDS, and Teradata , this platform will support three core components: ML Workbench – for model development and experimentation Gen AI Workbench – for prompt engineering and generative AI innovation Enterprise AI Platform – for production deployment and inference at scale The Opportunity As Principal Data & AI Platform Engineer , you will: Lead the build and operationalisation of the AI Work from early‑stage architecture through to production delivery by June 2025 Design and implement cloud‑native data and AI platform components with a focus on scalability, reproducibility, and governance Collaborate with a cross‑functional team (Product Owner, Cloud Engineer, Solution Architect) to define best practices for AI platform engineering Drive continuous releases and platform enhancements, incorporating user feedback and evolving AI capabilitiesMentor engineers and uplift platform capability , shaping the engineering culture for this new initiative What You’ll Bring ✅ 10+ years’ experience building and operating large‑scale data or AI/ML platforms in enterprise environments ✅ Strong technical expertise across AWS services (SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, IAM, CloudFormation/Terraform, CI/CD) ✅ Proven success establishing platform engineering patterns and standards in greenfield or early‑stage initiatives ✅ Hands‑on experience in AI/ML Ops , secure data integration, and infrastructure automation ✅ Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate architecture into actionable build plans ✅ (Bonus) Familiarity with GenAI, LLM orchestration, or prompt engineering Why You’ll Love It Shape the direction of a strategic, enterprise‑wide AI initiative from the ground up Work with cutting‑edge AWS technologies and emerging GenAI tools Collaborate within a small, high‑performing engineering team where your work has visible impact Opportunity to extend beyond June 2025 as the platform evolves and scales Interested in hearing more?
