Financial Advisor – Mercor Financial Advisor role with Mercor based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. Mercor is hiring experienced Financial Advisors to collaborate with a top AI research lab. In this role you'll apply your expertise in financial advising to help design, test, and refine advanced AI systems that replicate real-world wealth management, retirement planning, and investment advisory workflows, ensuring solutions are client-ready, compliant, and effective. Key Responsibilities Evaluate AI-generated financial plans and advisory outputs for accuracy, compliance, and client relevance. Calibrate investment and retirement planning models to ensure financial soundness and client suitability. Simulate and audit workflows such as asset allocation, risk profiling, and retirement income planning. Review and refine AI-produced reports, recommendations, and strategic financial documents with a focus on real-world client needs. Collaborate asynchronously with AI and product teams to improve the reliability and trustworthiness of AI-driven advisory systems. Ideal Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor, Wealth Manager, or in related advisory roles. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; advanced certifications (CFP, CFA, CPA, ChFC) are a strong plus. Deep understanding of financial planning principles, including retirement, estate, and investment planning. Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial strategies. Familiarity with compliance, regulatory standards, and fiduciary responsibilities in financial advising. Location preference: US, UK, Canada, Australia or Europe. Project Timeline Start Date: Immediate Duration: 1–2 months Commitment: ~20 hours / week, part-time Schedule: Fully remote, asynchronous, flexible hours Compensation & Contract $70–$95 USD / hour, based on experience. Performance bonuses at the project's discretion. Independent contractor role.
