Role title: Senior Finance Business Partner Role type: Permanent full time Role grade: Health Services Manager Level 4 Department and location: Finance, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst Salary: $141,974.00 - $169,151.00 + super + salary packaging About The Role As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will play a key strategic role supporting high‑profile hospital departments and driving meaningful financial outcomes. In this position, you will: Partner with clinical and corporate teams to understand their needs, provide strategic financial solutions, and identify opportunities that deliver real impact. Provide expert financial insight, combining accounting knowledge, data analysis, and clear communication to guide performance, shape commercial direction, and support decision‑making. Lead financial reviews and evaluations, including investment assessments, ROI analysis, and monthly performance reporting—offering recommendations that drive strategic action. Coach and empower stakeholders and analysts, helping them leverage business processes, reporting tools, and financial systems to improve efficiency and performance. Ensure compliance and strategic alignment, keeping practices up to date with health reforms and funding regulations while supporting the development of high‑quality business cases. About You Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, commerce, or a related field, along with membership of a professional accounting body (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years’ experience in management accounting or finance business partnering within a large and complex organisation, ideally using systems such as Oracle and advanced budgeting/reporting tools. Exceptional communication and stakeholder skills, with proven ability to liaise, negotiate, and build strong relationships at all levels, including Executive. Advanced analytical capability, able to interpret financial data, run statistical analysis, and develop and optimise dashboards and models using Power BI. A strong understanding of the health sector, including public hospital revenue, funding frameworks, and cost drivers. Why work at St Vincent’s?
