We are looking for a Flagship Assistant Operations Manager who will support the delivery of efficient and organized operations, ensuring exceptional store presentation and stock availability that creates an unparalleled shopping experience in our Sydney Flagship MECCA George Street in NSW. You'll work closely with the Flagship Operations Manager to lead our operations team, upholding MECCA's exceptional customer experience standards and driving success through innovative strategies and a commitment to excellence. Day-to-day responsibilities Support the end-to-end planning and execution of operations best practice across visual merchandising, inventory management, stock availability, testers, consumables, packaging and supplies as part of regular trade, flagship specific activations and major events in store. Lead by example and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team, guiding team members, developing their skills, and helping them to reach their full potential. Partner with the Marketing team and Visual Merchandising Manager to implement Flagship visual merchandising standards and create a truly unique and elevated customer experience across all categories. Support the development and execution of action plans to achieve store KPI targets, aligning operational, customer, team, and financial goals with commercial benchmarks. Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing protocols, conducting inspections, supporting the loss prevention team, monitoring training, and ensuring compliance for risk mitigation and security. What you'll bring to the role Proven retail management experience, particularly in large scale operations, managing teams and implementing processes. Strong stock and inventory management experience Solid commercial skills, with the ability to make autonomous decisions in line with strategic objectives. A pursuit of operational effectiveness with demonstrated back of house experience (highly desired). A genuine care for people, always seeing through the eyes of the customer and team to ensure the best experience. An ability to think strategically and drive change through influencing others. Strong stakeholder management skills, internally and externally. Effective coaching and communication style with an ability to lead with empathy while driving performance. Excellent organisational skills and a proven track record of operating in an agile and dynamic environment. Previous cross-functional or support centre project exposure (highly desired).
