The Position Monitor, operate, maintain and optimise AlburyCity’s water and wastewater treatment plants, including pumping stations and service reservoirs in an effective and efficient manner. The position will ensure the treatment quality conforms to all relevant regulatory and compliance standards. Qualifications & experience Class C (standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have & maintain) Relevant experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry Experience in the maintenance of mechanical equipment within the industry Tasks & responsibilities Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment facilities as directed, including taking corrective action in response to test results and operating issues. Perform routine plant inspection and undertake maintenance activities as required to maintain operating reliability of the treatment facilities. Perform routine maintenance activities associated with the facilities’ grounds and buildings. Use, handle and store chemicals in accordance with relevant WH&S, and AlburyCity requirements and ensure that chemical dosing is undertaken in an efficient and effective manner to meet plant processes and effluent quality requirements. Assist with the construction and commissioning of new assets. Hours Based on a 38‑hour week, working 38 hours across a 7‑day spread, with actual days and times being worked in accordance with facilities rosters with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity’s RDO guidelines. Hours worked on weekends will attract the appropriate loadings.
