Location The Terraces, a 148‑bed residential aged care facility located in Varsity Lakes, is near the beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast, several shopping centres, schools, public transport, restaurants and a vast range of health and community services. Role Preferred Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals. Provide care and support aligned with residents’ preferred daily routines, with a strong focus on nutrition and dining. Consider meals, allergy and food intolerance information to enhance the overall dining experience. Assist residents with meal selection and timing preferences. Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences. Engage residents socially and emotionally during mealtimes using empathy and kindness. Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect. Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required. Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework. Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required. Qualifications & Traits Demonstrated customer service skills. A compassionate and caring attitude. Barista experience essential. Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded). Willingness to take direction from others. Reliability and shift flexibility. Good time‑management skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Valid working rights in Australia (passport, birth certificate, etc.). Complete a police check.
