The Opportunity As the Dementia Care Coordinator you will lead with purpose, shaping high quality dementia care that empowers residents, supports families, and inspires staff as a key member of our growing Quality, Risk & Assurance team. This Full Time onsite role is a unique opportunity to utilise your clinical & practice expertise, compassionate leadership, and a commitment to delivering person-centred dementia care to support dignity, independence, and quality of life. Planned start in January 2026. Responsibilities Leading the delivery of dementia care services across Carrington Care Developing and implementing individualised, person-centred care plans & conducting comprehensive assessments Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external specialists Fostering a dementia-friendly environment and culture Engaging families, providing emotional support, and facilitating support groups Driving innovation through research, quality improvement, and policy development About you Registered Nurse, with other relevant qualifications desirable (e.g. Behaviour Support Practitioner, Allied Health Professional) Minimum 2–3 years’ experience with supporting dementia or other functional cognitive disorders Expertise in dementia care principles and behavioural strategies Experience in clinical governance & risk activities Experience in clinical leadership, mentoring and training staff Passion for quality care & continuous improvement Strong communication and leadership skills Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check clearance (to be obtained during recruitment) Benefits Competitive Pay, including loadings, potential performance-based increases Access to full not-for-profit Salary Packaging, making up to $18,550 of your income tax-free Employee Referral Program – Earn up to $500 for referring a successful candidate 15% employee discount at our onsite Rocksalt restaurant 10% off full price shoes at a local shoe store Enjoy our “Carrington Day” – an Additional Christmas Public Holiday each year Staff immunisation program Free on-site parking and beautiful gardens To Apply Please submit your application including your current resume and a cover letter addressing the criteria in the 'About You' section.
