Enjoy a holiday lifestyle every day About Our Facilities Shellharbour Hospital is a busy acute care facility providing emergency services, elective surgical services, general medical, antenatal and primary family health care, satellite renal dialysis and adolescent and adult mental health services on site. 20 bed Transitional Care beds (TCF) unit within Figtree Private Hospital – provides care to elderly patients awaiting placement in residential aged care facilities, Illawarra transitional aged care service, community packages, Commonwealth Home Support Program or Veterans Home Care. Our hospital fosters close‑knit teams valuing the incredible roles nurses play as caregivers, role models, educators, mentors and advocates, directly impacting health and well‑being of patients. Building of the New Shellharbour Hospital (NSH) is due to commence and will open in late 2027, expanding Emergency Department, Paediatric Assessment Unit, Ambulatory Care, elective surgical services, Intensive Care Unit and specialist Medical, Aged Care and Rehabilitation units, as well as innovative virtual models of care.
