Head of Domain Architecture Data and AI

Overview News Corp Australia is looking for the Head of Domain Architecture Data & AI , a leadership position responsible for overseeing the architecture of data and AI for News Corp Australia. This role is in charge of designing, implementing, and maintaining data & AI architecture strategies and solutions that align with the organisation’s goals and objectives within that particular domain. The head will have direct reports of Data & AI Architects and will collaborate with other domain teams and stakeholders to integrate data & AI architecture with other systems and processes across the organisation. Responsibilities Lead the Data & AI Architecture Strategy – Oversee the overall architecture direction, roadmap, and design for all initiatives under the Data & AI domain, ensuring alignment with enterprise and global technology strategies. Develop and Govern Architectural Standards – Establish and maintain architecture standards, patterns, and best practices that drive efficiency, reusability, and agility across systems and processes. Drive Innovation and Emerging Technologies – Provide thought leadership in leveraging emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to deliver strategic business value. Collaborate and Align with Stakeholders – Partner with enterprise architects, domain teams, and business leaders to ensure architecture solutions meet organisational goals and deliver measurable outcomes. Optimise Performance and Delivery – Ensure architecture initiatives achieve key performance objectives such as cost efficiency, data utilisation, scalability, and speed to market. Build and Lead High-Performing Teams – Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through mentoring, training, and developing a skilled, empowered architecture team. Who are you? 10+ years of architectural and design experience with a strong background in delivering modern data and AI solutions. 5+ years of technical experience across data platforms, AI/ML, analytics, and technologies such as data warehouses, data lakes, GCP, and CDP/DMP tools. Proven ability to establish Data and AI roadmaps that align with business goals and enable innovation. Demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders and driving business strategy through technology. Strong focus on delivering scalable, efficient, and cost-effective architectural solutions that enhance data utilisation and business performance. Collaborative and forward-thinking, fostering continuous improvement and exploration of emerging technologies.
