Labourers with MR Licence – Outdoor Waste & Cleaning Location: Hornsby area Multiple roles $35 - $50 per hour + Super Our government client is seeking Labourers to work with their cleansing operations team, maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of the council area. The role is responsible for a range of outdoor duties including operating mechanical street sweepers, cleaning of public places and litter collection. General working hours are 5am – 2pm weekdays, 5am – 10am weekends on a rotating roster. Only required to work 2 to 3 weekend single day shifts per month (not both days on a weekend). Overtime is payable for weekend shifts. The main duties include: Operate street sweepers and blowers to maintain clean roads, footpaths, kerbs, gutters, and public spaces. Street cleansing and waste removal duties using equipment and manual methods. Litter removal, pavement blowing, high‑pressure and steam cleaning, spill clean‑ups, and cleaning of street furniture, signs, and other public assets. Clean and restock public toilet amenities to a high standard, ensuring all hygiene and safety protocols are followed. Hand sweeping, debris removal in areas inaccessible to machinery. Provide relief staffing at community recycling centres as required, assisting customers, handling materials safely, and performing light yard maintenance. Use mobile devices and manual records to report maintenance issues, complete cleaning logs, and update schedules.
