QA Engineer – Smart Communications As a QA Engineer you will be responsible for assessing the quality of the SmartIQ product by evaluating and testing changes, reviewing and creating automated tests wherever possible, and manually testing when necessary. The overall responsibility is, alongside other team members, to verify that products function according to user requirements and conform to Smart Communications guidelines. As your role develops, you will be a member of an Agile Team, playing multidisciplinary roles, contributing to product changes, and participating in continuous improvement of the technical engineering practices to keep abreast with the IT industry. To learn more, visit smartcommunications.com. Who are you? You are a talented and enthusiastic QA Engineer. You have proven experience in developing integration tests and automation scripts using industry best practices and frameworks. You’ve created automated test libraries which are not only functional but also “clean”, well‑constructed and maintainable. You’re never comfortable with the new feature until your automation libraries cover the key functionality. You’re passionate about Software Quality and have explored various automation test frameworks and tools for testing both server‑side and client‑side components, working with some professionally and keeping an eye on others. You’ve had the chance to compare how they work for different problems and have opinions about what works best in what situation. You’re completely comfortable working on automation as well as testing and exploring the software manually. You like working in an Agile development environment and take responsibility for getting things done as part of a team. You want to be the best you can be and embrace the chance to learn and adapt. You almost always get done what you say you will, and if you don’t you take the time to learn from the experience.
