About the role Enerven is leading the delivery of some of the most significant energy projects in Australia, such as the 480 MWh Summerfield BESS connection and the Hydrogen Jobs Plan 275kV connection in South Australia, the 2.8 GWh Eraring BESS, and the 500 kV Goulburn River Solar Farm connection work in New South Wales. With extensive knowledge and experience in the power sector, Enerven collaborates with utilities across Australia, partnering with TransGrid, ElectraNet, Origin, AGL, and AMP. Specialising in the structural, civil and transmission engineering discipline, the Senior Transmission Engineer provides professional engineering advice to internal and external clients and supports the transmission design team in development of work methods, transmission infrastructure engineering design, calculation, and integration. The Senior Design Engineer also acts as a subject matter expert supporting Enerven functions of Construction, Maintenance and Restoration in the area of overhead transmission lines and related activity. Day to day you will: Provide Technical Leadership and support to the engineering & design project team and provide mentoring experience to junior team members Provide subject matter expert advice within the business for matters relating to overhead transmission lines and related activity Provide professional engineering for overhead transmission lines i.e.: Engineering input to construction and maintenance work methods Technical support to related design and engineering disciplines Emergency restoration support On-site project support for construction and maintenance teams Engage with clients to deliver major infrastructure projects Work with industry suppliers and service providers to facilitate delivery of designs and transmission construction works About you You will have a strong background in transmission engineering, construction and maintenance practices along with design expertise, PLS-CADD proficiency, and leadership skills. Must be detail-oriented, collaborative and committed to quality and safety. Specific qualifications and experience required include: A minimum of 10 years experience within the Transmission industry Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, that will allow admission as Corporate Member of Institute of Engineers, Australia.
