Applications Please forward an application detailing qualifications and experience to: We are seeking a committed and experienced educator to join our leadership team as the Inclusive Education and Wellbeing Coordinator. This full‑time position plays a pivotal role in supporting student inclusion, wellbeing, and engagement across the school. Al-Hidayah Islamic School, established in 1994, is a K–6 independent Islamic primary school located in Bentley, Western Australia. We provide high-quality education grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah and aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum. Our school nurtures confident, capable learners through a holistic, inclusive, and child-centred approach. Under the direction of the Principal, the successful applicant will coordinate inclusive education programs, oversee NCCD and State Special Education funding processes, and support teachers in developing and implementing documented plans for students with additional learning needs. The role also includes leading and delivering wellbeing initiatives aligned with the school’s Islamic ethos and Student Wellbeing Framework. A teaching component is included, involving individual, small‑group, or whole‑class sessions with an emphasis on social and emotional learning, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour. Key Responsibilities: Lead inclusive education practices to support diverse learners across the school. Co‑construct and monitor Individual Education Plans, Adjusted Plans, and Behaviour Support Plans with teachers. Oversee NCCD and WA Special Education funding applications, documentation, and compliance. Coordinate and implement wellbeing initiatives and early intervention programs. Provide targeted teaching and support sessions focused on emotional and social development. Collaborate with staff, parents, and external specialists to support student growth. Deliver professional learning for staff in inclusive education and wellbeing practices. Model and promote Islamic values of compassion, empathy, and ihsan (excellence). Selection Criteria: The ideal candidate will have: A recognised teaching qualification and current TRBWA registration. Current Working with Children Check. Experience in inclusive education, preferably in a primary school context, is desirable. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and practical application of the religion of Islam. Sound understanding of the Disability Standards for Education, inclusive pedagogy, and the NCCD process. Experience working with wellbeing frameworks and social‑emotional learning. Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively and model professional conduct. A sincere commitment to Islamic values and holistic education.
