Students currently completing their studies are welcome to apply but will not be interviewed until their university course is completed. Travel may be a required element of the role. About The Role As the Psychologist at Waraburra State School, you will play a key role in supporting students' mental health and wellbeing through counselling, assessment, and intervention services. Key Responsibilities Include Providing individual and group counselling to students, parents, and families to address personal or relationship concerns. Administering psycho-educational assessments to identify learning and adjustment difficulties. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support students' progress and wellbeing. Delivering professional development programs for staff and parents on mental health and wellbeing. Supporting school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies. This role would suit a compassionate and motivated psychologist who is committed to enhancing student wellbeing and fostering positive relationships within the school community. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Experience in counselling and therapeutic interventions for children and families. Knowledge of psycho-educational assessments and interpreting diagnostic information. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff, parents, and external agencies. Ability to manage confidential records and data collection in line with policies. Commitment to ongoing professional development and registration requirements.
