Where you'll be working Ward 5, General Medicine – Ryde Hospital, undergoing an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community. The redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and more. What you'll be doing Ward 5 is a dynamic 24‑bed general medical ward where innovation in patient care meets excellence in nursing practice. Guided by the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Consultant, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) leads, develops, coordinates, and implements structured learning for nursing staff. In this fast‑paced environment, the CNE delivers high‑impact clinical teaching, comprehensive orientation, skill accreditation and ongoing professional development. The role also supports hospital‑wide orientation, mandatory training, and teaching in courses across NSLHD sites and external facilities. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria Holds AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse and holds relevant clinical or education post‑registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer. Proven ability to effectively manage and resolve conflict in a professional and constructive manner, promoting a positive and respectful work environment. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills, and use of software programs to develop and deliver education.
