As a Senior Tester, you’ll lead the testing strategy and quality practices across our digital platforms - including web, mobile, and API layers. You’ll play a pivotal role in cross‑functional delivery teams, ensuring quality is embedded from design through to release. Bringing deep automation expertise and a risk‑based mindset, you’ll design and implement scalable automation frameworks, support exploratory testing, and champion CI pipeline integration. You’ll also advise on testability during design, ensuring releases meet functional, performance, and accessibility standards. If you're fluent in tools like Playwright and Cypress, and passionate about influencing quality across the entire delivery lifecycle, this role is for you. You’ll guide developers, testers, and product owners on quality risks, test coverage, and release readiness - while continuously evolving how we test, measure, and deliver great software. What You'll Do Demonstrate deep understanding of how AI enables faster responses, better outcomes, less admin, and a future‑facing aged care industry and take a lead role in designing, developing, deploying and maintaining AI‑driven solutions across the organisation. This includes prompt engineering, workflow automation, data integration, internal AI tool development, and the ability to collaborate with non‑technical teams to identify and deliver real‑world use cases that align with Trilogy Care’s innovation value and goals. Lead testing strategy across product squads, including risk‑based planning, traceability and automation Build and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or similar Define test coverage across unit, integration, UI, and API levels Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and early defect detection Perform exploratory, accessibility, usability and regression testing for every release Embed automated tests into CI/CD workflows with tools such as GitHub Actions Monitor test suite health, execution times, and flakiness to maintain test reliability Guide defect lifecycle management, ensuring issues are prioritised and verified Review and validate test plans, user stories, and acceptance criteria Mentor junior testers and uplift testing practices across the engineering team What You'll Bring Extensive experience in QA, software testing, or test engineering Expertise in test automation tools (e.g. Playwright, Cypress) and automation framework design Strong API testing skills using Postman or scripting Deep understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile testing methodologies Familiarity with accessibility standards and tools (e.g. WCAG 2.2, axe‑core) Experience working in CI/CD environments with automated quality gates Skilled in writing test plans, risk assessments, and release sign‑offs Confident communicator with technical, product, and business stakeholders Experience testing PHP applications Exposure to mobile test frameworks (e.g. Appium, Detox) Familiarity with security, performance, and load testing tools (e.g. OWASP ZAP, Lighthouse, k6) Background in aged care, healthcare, or compliance‑driven environments Proficiency with test case management tools (e.g. Xray, TestRail) Experience mentoring QA staff and defining testing standards Ability to contribute to test architecture across multiple repositories Qualifications Tertiary qualification in IT, Software Engineering, or related field ISTQB Advanced Certification (or equivalent practical experience) preferred Why Trilogy Care?
