Responsibilities Delivery and pickups of general freight in and around Melbourne metropolitan areas, with occasional regional work. Traveling to various customers sites and preparing trucks to be unloaded / loaded (use of ratchet straps / opening curtains or gates, adjust mezzanine floors when required). Effective time management to ensure timeslots are met. Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirements. Perform vehicle pre‑start checks in line with company standards and government regulations. Reporting any defects / safety concerns to supervisor. Fill out Drivers Daily Worksheets, pallet details, amendments, fatigue breaks or additions. Perform general housekeeping of the Prime Movers, Trailers and customer premises. Achieve an impeccable safe driving record. Ensure all paperwork is handed in daily, any returned stock is accompanied by relevant paperwork. Compliance within MT DATA application. Comply with all site requirements and any other matters directed by the company. Notify the supervisor of issues along your journey and at any destinations. Provide flexibility to respond to business needs at short notice. Perform impeccable customer service.
