Bushland Response Officer, Temporary - Full-time Role, 38 hours per week Location: Dee Why, New South Wales Employment Type: Full-time Seniority Level: Mid-Senior level Job Function: Other Industry: Government Administration Salary: $80,029.58 to $93,006.52 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience) Division: Environment & Open Space Business Unit: Environment & Resilience Description: Reporting to the Bushland Response Leader, the Bushland Response Officer provides high-level technical support in managing bushland and biodiversity matters across the Northern Beaches Council LGA. The role actions customer requests, supervises Council’s internal bush regeneration team, assists with field work for strategic and operational bushland management and supervises contractors. Key Responsibilities Co-ordinate and supervise frontline bushland operations, including response to customer requests, bush regeneration and restoration activities, and the handling and application of herbicides as required. Co-ordinate resources to support: bush fire hazard reduction activities including manual removal of fuel and preparation of sites for hazard reduction burns. the actioning of customer requests related to the Business Unit as required. invasive species control programs as required. bush regeneration contract management as required. activities undertaken by other teams with the Business Unit as required. Liaise with multiple teams across council to resolve complex matters in relation to maintenance of bushland areas under the control of the team.
