Metal Machinist

Job Role Job Type: Full-time Pay $75,000 – $85,000 per year Experience: Metal Machinist – 2 years (Required) Licence/Certification: Driver Licence (Required) Work Authorization: Australia (Required) Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of plant, tools and equipment to manufacture high‑quality metal components. Undertake precision manufacturing tasks such as CNC machine setup, wire cutting, and grinding. Work autonomously with a keen eye for detail to ensure high‑quality production. Utilise component manufacturing knowledge to achieve precision and accuracy. Contribute to a hardworking, supportive, friendly, and clean factory environment. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to producing high‑quality work. Identify faults and perform maintenance of machines. Skills and Experience Experience in CNC milling, preferably 5‑axis as well as 3‑axis. Demonstrated experience setting up and operating CNC machines for metal component manufacturing. Experience with CAD/CAM programming (3‑ and 5‑axis) would be advantageous. Knowledge of 5S and Lean manufacturing. Relevant trade certificate such as Machinist/Turner or equivalent. Minimum 2–3 years of metal machining experience. Duties Coordinate the set‑up and operation of CNC machines. Undertake CAD/CAM programming (3‑ and 5‑axis). Ensure all quality control and order specification standards are always met. Operate all factory plant, tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Provide a positive, friendly and efficient team culture. Attributes High attention to detail. Accountable. Respectful of other team members and equipment. Willing to accept responsibility and personal feedback. Ability to initiate change as well as follow change. Hungry to learn and challenge the status quo.
