About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Information Security Engineer to join our Technology team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimising security controls across on‑premises and cloud environments to safeguard our systems and data. You’ll play a key part in operational security engineering, ensuring compliance with security standards and supporting incident response and monitoring. What You’ll Do Deploy and manage security tools and technologies, including Microsoft E5 security stack, Azure Sentinel, Defender Suite, Darktrace, and Palo Alto firewalls. Maintain and optimise security configurations for Microsoft and Linux servers (on‑prem and Azure). Support vulnerability management and remediation activities across infrastructure and applications. Assist with identity and access management (IDAM), including privileged access controls. Collaborate with IT Operations and the Head of Information Security to ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST and Essential 8. Document and report security incidents, configurations, and improvements for audit and governance purposes. About You You’re a proactive problem‑solver with a strong technical background and a passion for cybersecurity. You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy working collaboratively to embed security into daily operations. What You’ll Bring CISSP and Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (or equivalent). Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT system administration. At least 1 year in an information security role. Hands‑on experience with firewalls and network security (Palo Alto preferred).
