HR Officer – PKKP Aboriginal Corporation (Karratha, WA) Make a real impact from day one in a values led organisation shaping the future of Aboriginal governance. We are leading co‑management agreements with mining proponents, advancing major rehabilitative heritage projects with international experts, and pursuing stronger self‑determination for the Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura people. We are looking for a motivated HR Officer to join our team in Karratha. You will work closely with our HR Manager, who will support your onboarding and development. As Corporate Services grows, your responsibilities and skills will grow with it. This is a hands on role that works across Heritage, Rangers, Community Outcomes, and Corporate Services. Your First 90 Days You will: Learn our HR systems, workflows, and priorities. Step into live recruitment, onboarding, and team changes. Strengthen Employment Hero data and templates. Build relationships across all teams, including Heritage and Community Outcomes. Teach policy and reinforce correct process use. Support performance processes with clear documentation and follow through. Use our PD allowance to begin building your HR capability. What you will do Maintain accurate HR data and documents. Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and inductions. Teach policy and support staff understanding of procedures. Support performance development and performance management. Assist managers with HR workflows and documentation. Support Traditional Owner staff with systems and workplace processes. Provide timely HR support across all divisions. Uphold confidentiality at all times. What you will bring Experience in HR administration. Strong attention to detail and proactive problem solving. High standards of confidentiality and ethical conduct. Clear communication across diverse teams. A people first approach with cultural awareness.
