Lynch Group is on the hunt for a State Commercial Finance Analyst to lead financial performance across our state operations at our head office in Ingleburn. About the Role As our new State Commercial Finance Analyst, you’ll be the financial heartbeat of our state operations — driving performance, shaping strategy, and keeping budgets razor‑sharp. You’ll take ownership of the state’s financial planning and analysis, turning complex data into clear insights and actionable decisions. From forecasting revenue to aligning resources with business priorities, you’ll play a key role in steering operational success. This is more than just crunching numbers — it’s about making impact. What You’ll Be Doing As our State Commercial Finance Analyst, you’ll be the strategic partner to the State Manager, driving financial performance across sales, operations, and procurement. Your week will be packed with high‑impact analysis, forecasting, and commercial insight. Key Responsibilities Partner with the State Manager to boost financial performance across all functions Lead budget and performance reviews, weekly dashboards, and month‑end analysis Deliver accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts Analyse results, identify trends, and support data‑driven decision‑making Drive profitable sales growth using SIF reports and margin analysis Monitor merchandising effectiveness and store‑level P&Ls Oversee weekly stocktakes and reconcile goods received in SAP Track theoretical vs actual margins using Filemaker Perform detailed analysis on sales mix, purchase price variance, and stem reports Flag and elevate any material profit‑impacting issues Forecast labour spend and reconcile actuals weekly Track production labour across receiving, production, and despatch Manage value‑add stock levels and leftover componentry Oversee Chep pallet reconciliation and ensure proper delegation of authority Support ESG reporting and act as backup for SIF reporting tools Internal Controls & Compliance You’ll play a key role in safeguarding our financial integrity by supporting the State Administration Manager in maintaining strong internal control systems. From invoicing and purchase orders to stocktakes and delegation of authority — you’ll help ensure our processes are tight, compliant, and audit‑ready. Your Impact Support robust controls across invoicing, POD scanning, purchase orders, goods receipting, and stocktake Ensure compliance with delegation of authority protocols Conduct audits to assess financial performance and control effectiveness Champion accuracy, accountability, and transparency across all financial operation Your Month-End Mission Coordinate with the finance team to close the books and lock the period Ensure all transactions are posted accurately and timely Manage financial reports for value‑add items, display stands, transport, packaging, and more Escalate any required adjustments to the National Commercial Manager About You You’re a sharp, analytical thinker with a passion for turning numbers into strategy. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, love solving complex problems, and know how to communicate financial insights that drive real impact. What You Bring Proven ability to build and maintain financial models for forecasting and profitability Advanced Excel skills — pivot tables, charts, and modelling are second nature Strong data analysis skills using statistical tools and techniques Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements Skilled in preparing accurate reports: income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows Meticulous attention to detail and consistency in reporting Problem‑solving mindset with a knack for identifying root causes and solutions Clear communicator — able to translate financial insights for any audience Highly organised and deadline‑driven, even under pressure What You’ll Need to Succeed A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance 5+ years’ experience in financial management Solid experience in the FMCG industry Exposure to a similar business environment (highly regarded) A sharp commercial mindset and a passion for performance Why Join Lynch Group?
