This role is a high-visibility, senior position responsible for shaping the entire technical architecture and strategy for our S/4HANA implementation across a wide range of interconnected SAP and non-SAP services in the utility sector. The Role: SAP S/4HANA Program Architect Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be the definitive architectural authority for the S/4HANA Program. Your core purpose is to architect, design, and drive the 'ERP to S/4HANA' migration strategy, ensuring the resulting integrated solution is stable, scalable, aligned with our business strategy, and compliant with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do) As the Program Architect, you will hold 70% of the program's architectural accountability , including: Strategic Solution Design: Define and drive the end-to-end SAP solution strategy, aligning it with enterprise architecture standards and the overall IT/Business strategic objectives. Migration Authority: Provide technical leadership on the migration strategy, specifically leveraging Brownfield (System Conversion) best practices for ECC to S/4HANA. Technology Leadership: Actively promote the adoption of modern SAP technologies, including SAP RISE, Business Technology Platform (BTP), Clean Core architecture , and innovative solutions like AI/ML integration. Implementation Oversight: Provide expert guidance to delivery teams (using SAP Activate / Agile methodologies ), conducting design reviews and ensuring technical coherence across the program. Integration &: Oversee complex interoperability between S/4HANA, core systems (FI, CO, IS-U), and external non-SAP applications. Contribute to governance processes to maintain architectural integrity. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with Executives, Senior Leaders, and Business Process Owners to translate complex requirements into actionable architectural roadmaps. Your Success Profile (What You Need to Bring) Essential Experience & Knowledge Proven Architect: Minimum 5+ years of dedicated experience as an SAP Program or Enterprise Architect, with direct, large-scale S/4HANA implementation or transformation experience. Utility Sector Expertise (Highly Preferred): Deep knowledge of SAP IS-U functionalities (meter-to-cash, customer service) and utility industry regulations. Technical Depth: Extensive knowledge of the SAP application landscape, including core components (FI, CO, PM, MM, PS), IS-U, Business Warehouse, GRC, and UX solutions. Modern SAP Stack: Solid understanding and practical experience with SAP RISE, BTP, Clean Core architecture , and integration technologies (CPI). Migration Methodology: Deep knowledge of the Brownfield approach for ECC to S/4HANA migration, including code remediation strategies and application of the SAP Activate methodology. Attributes & Competencies Strategic Thinker: Ability to define long-term architectural visions and roadmaps. Analytical Aptitude: Mastery in analyzing complex system integration challenges and proposing optimal solutions.
