About the Role The Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research) will be a key member of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. The incumbent will contribute to quality research as well as provide leadership and administration and be responsible for planning and delivering topics and teaching materials. The role will also be responsible for the delivery of lectures and tutorials, assessment and any other professional activities relevant to the role. Responsibilities Undertaking a lead role in inspiring and innovative teaching informed by approaches that enhance the student experience, such as e learning platforms. Making a significant contribution to ethical, high quality and innovative research through activities such as scholarship, quality publication, external grant acquisition, mentoring and developing early career researchers and presentation that aligns with the Caring Futures Institute. Undertaking topic coordination and course coordination. Assisting in College internal and external quality assurance and accreditation processes in a leadership capacity. About You Your substantial and sustained teaching experience at the tertiary level, combined with your extensive research background, demonstrates your understanding of the nexus between teaching, learning, research, scholarship and practice. With exceptional verbal and written communication skills, you effectively apply your interpersonal abilities to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Required Completion of a PhD, or equivalent qualification in Nursing in any of the following listed in the position description. Hold and maintain a current membership/registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Nurse. Extensive clinical experience across the continuum of Nursing practice. Evidence of knowledge and practice in the field of First Nations health, including ability to facilitate student learning as it relates to cultural safety and responsiveness. Experience and successful track record in supervision of honours and higher degree students and other post-graduate course work students research projects.
