Community Wellbeing Coordinator - Whyalla Recreation Centre Whyalla Recreation Centre is seeking a dynamic and community-focused Community Wellbeing Coordinator to lead our programs, people, and wellbeing initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will champion physical activity, oversee high-quality service delivery, and create opportunities for the Whyalla community at our recreation centre to connect, grow, and thrive. We are looking for someone who inspires others, builds a positive and energetic team culture, and can work confidently both independently and collaboratively across a diverse range of programs and staff groups. The role on offer is full-time, with an option for 0.8 FTE part-time (30 hours per week) and will commence in January 2026. Key Responsibilities Lead, support and coordinate cross-functional teams and community wellbeing programs, driving innovation, participation and continuous improvement. Promote the benefits of physical activity across the Whyalla community by developing targeted initiatives, strengthening new member engagement and building partnerships with schools, clubs and community groups. Plan, deliver and evaluate programs and events—including launches, masterclasses and stadium activities—to meet service, participation and budget targets. Ensure all program areas are supervised safely, professionally and consistently, maintaining high standards of customer service, cleanliness and presentation. Oversee rosters, staff relations and day-to-day operational responsibilities to support a cohesive and efficient team environment. Champion WHS by modelling safe behaviours, maintaining compliance, addressing risks promptly and promoting a strong safety culture across all areas of responsibility.
