Job Description What you will be doing Lead the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring safety, compliance and uptime Support the Chief Engineer in managing preventative maintenance programs and statutory compliance Plan and deliver projects, upgrades and asset refurbishment programs across rooms, public areas and back-of-house Coordinate and manage external contractors and suppliers to ensure quality, cost and timelines are controlled Drive asset condition reporting, capital planning and lifecycle management Oversee work orders, maintenance systems and reporting Support energy management, sustainability and efficiency initiatives Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to the engineering team Respond to guest and operational issues with urgency, professionalism and practical solutions What you will bring Demonstrated experience in hotel, resort, or large commercial building engineering Proven experience delivering projects, refurbishments and asset upgrades Strong knowledge of building services, plant, fire systems and compliance requirements Experience managing contractors, budgets and maintenance schedules A calm, solutions-focused leadership style with high safety and quality standards Strong organisational, reporting and planning capability Confidence working in a 24/7 operational environment Trade or technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Building Services or similar highly regarded Thrive in our Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbe community Be part of a leadership team that understands the connection between asset excellence and guest experience.
