Join to apply for the Qualified Aviation Tanker Driver role at UGL . As a key player in the Defence industry, UGL plays a crucial role in supporting the Australian Defence Force across 100 locations nationwide. As a result of expanding scope of works within UGL’s portfolio, we are currently seeking experienced tanker drivers to work with the operations and maintenance team at Edinburgh RAAF base. This a unique and exciting opportunity to work within a team of defence personnel while enjoying the benefits of working with a Tier 1 service provider. Work as one team and perform the delivery of fuel to the RAAF and other Defence stakeholders on base. The Role Reporting through to a UGL leading hand or supervisor, your day‑day directions will come from the Commanding Officer or similar of the particular squadron you will be working with. These duties will include, but not limited to: Operate fuel tanker truck around the fuel installation and the defence base Work closely with operator to safely load your fuel tank truck with required fuel Deliver the fuel to the designated fuel point i.e., refuelling point, aircraft on the runway etc Operate pumps on tanker truck to ensure effective delivery of fuel to aircraft Communicate with internal and external team to ensure good customer experience What You Need You will be a strong team player, a self‑starter and dedicated employee that will draw on your experience and diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL and our customer. We expect the successful applicants to have the following: HC Drivers Licence (or above) and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence Proven experience operating heavy vehicles is essential Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry will be highly regarded Good communicator and ability to work in a diverse team Current holder, or ability to obtain relevant security clearances What We Offer This is an opportunity to join UGL as a full-time employee, on a long‑term contract within the Defence sector.
