Production Assistant | Junior Garment Technician

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Production Assistant | Junior Garment Technician to support our Womenswear Design, Product Development & Production team through the product development process — from sample to store. You’ll assist with maintaining production schedules, preparing specification packs, and coordinating samples for weekly fittings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in production or garment technology within a fast‑paced fashion environment. THE ROLE: Provide daily administrative support to the Womenswear Production team Update production trackers, raise and amend purchase orders, and maintain accurate records Assist with tech packs, technical drawings, and sample measurements Prepare and organise samples for weekly fit sessions and participate in fittings for Cut & Sew Jersey styles Liaise with suppliers and manage trim approvals and production documentation Support sustainability initiatives including Chain of Custody management and Lenzing Portal approvals On‑site role 5‑days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Formal qualifications or relevant experience in production and/or quality control within the apparel industry Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar role with offshore production Experience in fashion apparel preferred Strong understanding of garment construction, size specifications, and fitting garments Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities Excellent organisational and time‑management skills Outstanding PC skills, with proficiency in all MS Office applications, especially Excel Clear verbal and written communication skills Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work effectively in a team Ability to prioritise and multitask while maintaining accuracy and quality WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
