About The Role Depending on your level of experience, this opportunity will either be as a Staff Specialist or a Post Graduate Fellow in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine. The Successful Candidate will provide high-quality clinical care to critically ill children across the Hunter New England Local Health District and the Northern Child Health Network, participate in teaching, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Qualifications Primary medical degree registered with AHPRA. Clinical experience and interest in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine. Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (CICM). (IMGs interested in the PGF role must be assessed by CICM and obtain limited registration with AHPRA on a specialist pathway satisfactory to the college, AHPRA and the Local Health District prior to commencement.) About Our PICU Opened as a standalone unit in 2017, our PICU continues to grow in size and complexity. We are one of three tertiary paediatric hospitals in NSW, a primary trauma referral centre for northern NSW, support the Hunter Retrieval Service, and provide advice to the Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service (NETS).
